Style Profile..."Peter Pilotto for Target"
I'm really looking forward to the new designer collaboration for Target! British designer Peter Pilotto and his codesigner, Christopher De Vos, have lent their talents to successful store chain to create an amazing collection of dresses, tops, skirts, pants and even swimsuits, towels, shoes and totes for a vast audience to get their hands on. Known for their statement prints, the Peter Pilotto collection is out of this world amazing. Just looking at the pieces will light up the eyes of any fashion enthusiast! The shapes, designs and colors will make the days of Spring and Summer, feel as though they are just around the corner. And with prices ranging from $15-$80 for clothing items and $17-$40 for all of the accessories, you cannot go wrong. Knowing that the anticipation is high, the pieces will be sold not only at Target, but around the world through Net-a-Porter. The only thing disappointing about the collection is that it won't hit stores/ on-line until February 9th. Don't fret...here's a sneak peek at the collection to tie you over:

Vacation Staples...Dominican Republic
Packing for a tropical getaway can be a lot of work...especially when you can only carry so much and you want to carry soooo much. In preparation for my flight to the Dominican Republic on Saturday, I started to sort through some of my clothing and some of my picks that are definitely going are shown above. Absolutely love this look that Solange Knowles wore to a recent dinner held to help fight world hunger. These pants are from Michael Kors Spring 2013 collection and the cloud and blue sky print is just dreamy. Paired with a crisp white shirt, cute lucite clutch, black tuxedo jacket and strappy black heels, Solange is working them just right!! And don't forget her amazingly teased 'fro and bright pink lips and nails...love this girl's style!

Style Profile..."All Booted Up"
Sorry for the lack of posts of late...I've been busy on bridesmaid duty for my cousin's upcoming nuptials as well as being in madwoman's mode at work. I hate not updating my blog, so I'm trying to be more pro-active on the posting front...promise :)
On Thursday...I found myself at Lord & Taylor, located at 39th and 5th Ave, looking for shoes to wear with my bridesmaid dress and found myself in the midst of a shoe event by Lucky and Clarks, hosted by Bonnie from Flashes of Style (Oh the random moments of living in NYC!)
I tried on a pair of boots from Clarks on Lucky's Love List and received a special gift: their Lucky Guide To Mastering Any Style book!
Trying on boots at the event got me thinking of shoe shopping for fall....and boots are definitely a must have for me. Here are a few that caught my eye on my shoe shopping want/wish list:
